• Be One with the Universe become finalist in the Cinematography of Film Craft at AD STARS of 2017

  • In this 2-minute film, the director only used a fixed shot, within the shot are constantly changed  wind and clouds, sunrise and sunset, heavy rains and lightning, day and night. What the audience sees in the film is scenery, yet the director is implicating the true meaning of human life. Human life, just like the views outside the window, is full of ups and downs, surging forward with great momentum. And like this 2-minute fixed shot, life will eventually become simple and tranquil.
    The video ad was filmed on the top of China's most expensive apartment in one year and two months, it has taken 5 cameras to shoot the film simultaneously. The film ultimately has come out of more than one million photomontages. 


    In Ciclope Festival which is recently ended in Berlin in November 2016, Be One with the Universe by Dans Digital, together with commercials for Samsung, New Balance, Converse, Tequila centenario and Berlinians, become finalists in the Editing Category. Eventually, Converse won the Gold Award, New Balance won the Silver Award and Be One with the Universe won the Bronze Award, the other five works are nominated.

    One year later, Be One with the Universe won Highly Commended Award in the Category Editing and Highly Commended Award in the Category Cinematography at EVCOM Screen Awards 2017 this November.

    After receiving 3 awards within half a year, Be One with the Universe was again favored and noticed by the 10th AD STARS and become Finalist in the Cinematography of Film Craft at AD STARS 2017.

    AD STARS was founded in 2006 and was supported by Busan government. It is the biggest, the most innovative advertising festival of the highest technology standard in Asia. It is an international advertising festival which combines creativity with cutting-edge technology. The competition aims to share creative solutions and change the world.

    Philosophy of AD STARS is “Sharing diverse insights”, it centers around a new paradigm in the creative field which is different from old style western advertising festivals and it values cultural diversity more than others.

    The 10th AD Stars was held grandly in Busan Exhibition & Convention Center(BEXCO) from August 24th to 26th, 2017. There are totally 50,000 person visited the 3-day award festival. The festival not only shared the most creative and most excellent commercials, it also showcased creative technologies, and there were professional seminars as well. On the last day, the award ceremony and closing ceremony was held grandly.

    The jury panel of AD stars each year are consistituted by world famous advertisers, advertising juries and excellent creative officers. There were two round of judging processes. In the first round, the finalists are selected by over 210 professional advertisers from 62 countries; in the second round, the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards and Grand Award will be selected through an online selection and the eventual on-site assessment.


    There were totally 21,530 entries from over 70 countries entered into the 18 categories of AD Stars 2017, which is 20% more than last year. In the evening of August 26th, 2017, the competition result of the 10th AD Star was announced in Busan Exhibition & Convention Center(BEXCO), Be One with the Universe by Dans Digital was honored Finalist in the Cinematography of Film Craft at AD STARS 2017.

    Be One with the Universe is very bold in creativity, the promoted project is not showed in the whole video. Instead of using fancy techniques, the 2-minute-video only used a fixed shot.  What the audience sees in the film is scenery, yet the director is implicating the true meaning of human life. Human life, just like the views outside the window, is full of ups and downs, surging forward with great momentum. And like this 2-minute fixed shot, life will eventually become simple and tranquil. From the synopsis of the commercial, we can feel the special advertising philosophy of Dans Digital, we can also know that a good advertisement not only contains good creative idea, the execution is also important. Also, a good work always make you think deeper.
